Step inside the Boutique De Limage A store filled with charm, heart and a very special atmosphere. Here you'll find a universe inspired by French country life, where the nostalgia of the old days still lives on.
Since 2015, Lars and Mette Nielsen have run the shop with a passion for finding unique vintage finds that each tell their own story. Lars is the owner of the shop, but has a full-time job on the side. On a daily basis, when Lars is at work, Mette is in the store as an employee. They travel to France to seek out the most atmospheric brocante and vintage markets, where they handpick beautiful and rare objects. They also work with local contacts in the heart of France who help them find those unique little treasures.
The name has a personal meaning: Rue De Limage "Picture Street" is the name of the street where the couple's French townhouse is located. It reflects their love for beauty, craftsmanship and historical details.
The store is located in an old grocery store, where the rustic atmosphere and beautiful second-hand finds from French flea markets fill the rooms. Mette, who draws inspiration from French, English and Swedish country style, always makes sure that the shop is charming and inviting with a touch of cottage style for those who dream of cosiness and tranquility.
Here you'll find everything from French flea market finds, quirky curiosities and decorative items to beautiful objects with patina. Most items have a personal story behind them, and if you ask Mette, she's happy to share the stories behind them. And even when the story behind a find is unknown, it is always selected with heart and an eye for beauty.
